By the early cultivation and the accelerated growth in the raised bed, the yield is 2 to 3 times higher than in a comparable garden. Weeds occur very limited. The watering protects the vegetables and herbs for drying out. The convenient and easy to use watering is an aluminum support structure, consisting components from the company “Gardena” and includes: water hose with spray nozzle, a pressure reducer to 1.2 bar so that the vegetables are sprayed gently, a controllable water tap to regulate the spray intensity. Each of our raised bed has a standard mounting attachment which allows a retrofitting of the watering. During the summer the cover is only used by hail, storms and heavy rain to prevent crop losses. Because of the special coating of the panels it´s difficult for the snails to climb into the raised bed. Using the mouse grid, rodents are blocked from below.
