The mouse grid provides ideal protection against voles. It is very strong, zinced and has a long durability. It is not comparable to a rabbit hutch grid!
The Mole crickets grid is necessary, spread over the mouse grid and prevents penetration of harmful insects such as mole, crickets, grubs, etc. This grid serves not like a mouse grid. To protect against voles, you still need the mouse grid below because these rodents can bite through the fine grid easily.
In fall the raised bed can be used as a composter. You need not dispose your garden waste, but use their nutrients for the plants.
