Sprinkle watering: The Sprinkle watering, which watered the plants from above with spray nozzles, consists of components from Gardena. Watering can be easily retrofitted and is placed on the raised bed, so that the watering can easily be removed in winter. To connect the watering with a garden hose you need a hose coupling. This watering includes a pressure reducer, so the spray is gentle. With the integrated control valve you can set the rate of spread. If you want to water the raised bed only partially this can be done by turning the individual spray nozzles.
Earth watering: New in our program is the earth watering. This is laid at a depth of about 25cm to 30cm, and watered the soil and the plants from below. This type of watering is the most economical. The tube is designed so that it waters the sail constant. The earth watering is pre-assembled and need to be laid during the filling of the raised bed. The earth watering includes the following components: pressure-reducing valves: protects against excessive pressure, - filter: the hose cannot be blocked. - Control valve for regulating the amount of water – The watering hose is placed in the earth according to the attached plan, - ground stakes: thus the watering hose can be fixed in the ground.
Mouse grid: the mouse grid, or even called vole grid, is a very strong, zinced grid of steel, mesh size 12mm x 12mm, which provides an ideal protection against moles and voles. The mouse grid can´t be replaced in any case with a rabbit cage grid, because it provides protection within a very short time (1-2 years). The mouse grid is slightly larger than the raised bed and is simply laid on the floor. The raised bed then will be made up on the mouse grid. Thus voles and moles have no chance.
Mole crickets grid: The mole crickets grid is a very fine aluminum grid that prevents the penetration of harmful insects. With a mesh size of 2x2mm it provides ideal protection against these mole crickets. It cannot be used as a mouse grid because voles can gnaw through this fine mesh. This grid is placed on the mouse grid. So the mouse grid is a protection against the large, strong animals and the mole crickets grid protects against the little pests.
Snail protection: The snail protection is bolt on the raised bed and can be retrofit at any time. Because of the design and the used material the snail protection prevents effectively against the penetration of snails.
Lawn bar: is bolted directly with the uprights of the raised bed and cannot be retrofitted. The lawn bar is used as mow edge and allows the lawn mower to driving round the raised bed. This eliminates the work of trimming, of cutting, and thus the soiling of the panels. The lawn bar is the first barrier for snails.
Plate holder: is a kind of fork, which you have to press or to hammer into the ground and so you have a device for keeping the cover plates. The plate holder is mainly in the transitional period very convenient, when the cover in the evening and overnight is still closed, but during the day 2 covers, should be removed. The plate holder is placed directly next to the raised bed and in the summer, when the cover is no longer required it can be stowed together. Into the plate holder you should only set the straight plates and the lateral elements hung directly on the side of the raised bed.
Cucumber grid: cucumbers grids serve as a climbing aid for cucumbers and thus the borage cannot claim the entire raised bed. So you have a lot of space for other plants and you can harvest hanging cucumbers. A further very useful application possibility is to stretch different nets over the cucumber grids.
Bird net: The bird protection net or even cats protection net will be stretched over 3 pieces of cucumber grids in the late spring, summer and fall. It provides against cats, birds... .
